At the Miami Valley School (MVS), experiential learning has been the cornerstone of our approach for 60 sixty years. Using the Immersion Method (IM) – a pedagogical approach that promotes powerful learning experiences – we have been able to consistently engage students across grade levels. Participants will be introduced to the different facets of how IM is implemented at MVS, including our January Term, signature grade-level projects, and daily classroom practices. Attendees will walk away with concrete ideas for how to try IM in their own schools.
